Ingredients:

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust (9 inch)
  • 1 cup chopped broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup cooked ham, cubed
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Take out the pie crust from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  3. Unroll the pie crust and press it onto the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate. Trim the edges, if needed.
  4. In a medium-sized frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  5. Add the chopped broccoli and ham to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beaten eggs, half-and-half cream, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Spread the broccoli and ham mixture evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded Swiss cheese over the top of the broccoli and ham mixture.
  9. Pour the egg mixture carefully over the top of the cheese.
  10. Bake the quiche for 40-45 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  11. Let the quiche cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
