Beet Brownies Pioneer Woman

The Pioneer Woman's Deep Dark Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat.
- Add the sugar and stir to combine. Continue heating the mixture, stirring occasionally, until it's hot but not bubbling.
- Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition.
